Lakefield, ON

Today we traveled from Buckhorn to Lakefield, another perfect day. This part of the TSW is one of our favorites as the lakes are dotted with islands, rocks, narrow passages and inlets.

Many of the small island become sites for cottages and lake homes, large and small.

Most unusual is this "drive your boat in" Church
 - St. Peter's On The Rock Anglican Church.

We arrived at Lakefield Lock for a quiet evening.

Captain's Supplement:

Lakefield, although not evident from the secluded lock wall, is a nice small town with many shops, restaurants, hardware and food stores, and a large public library with wifi.
