Peterborough, ON

Lakefield to Peterborough is a matter of going through 6 locks over about 8 miles, including the infamous Peterborough Lift Lock.  Driving in from the top felt like going to the edge of the earth.  Unnerving!

 

 

We were lucky to be arriving in Peterborough just in time for the Rib Fest, a three day event complete with a Saturday night concert in the park. We sampled some ribs for dinner and they were yummy!  

 

 

 

Thom and Ellie found time for relaxation and a nap.

 

 

 

Our day ended with this wonderful rainbow created by the fountain in the middle of Little Lake.
